Alright people, keep your pants on. It's the moment all you Final Fantasy fans (that's quite a mouthful) have been waiting for - the Final Fantasy VII Remake is finally making its way to the PlayStation 5, and you'll be able to pick up this vastly-enhanced "Intergrade" version starting from Thursday (June 10).

The jazzed-up title isn't the only thing Square Enix has tossed in. Apart from a bunch of new gameplay features and improvements, players will also be able to enjoy a brand-new standalone episode featuring the bright-eyed ninja Yuffie Kisaragi. Check out her trailer!

Together with her companions, she's on a quest to infiltrate the shadowy Shinra Corporation and steal a powerful materia, which will restore her homeland to its former glory. Of course, her group isn't the only one that's got a bone to pick with them, so we'll probably see them come face-to-face with Cloud's gang at some point.

As for gameplay improvements, Square Enix showed off the new Normal (Classic) difficulty option and some aesthetics updates coming with the Intergrade version, which includes fog effects, enhanced textures, improved lighting, and two new visual modes for players to choose from.

Those who are in it for the cinematics can opt for the Graphics Mode , which prioritises 4K high-resolution graphics, while those who can't get enough of the gameplay can select Performance Mode , which provides smooth action at 60 frames per second.

Yes, it's quite a lot to take in, and frankly, it's much easier to show you than to tell you.

As mentioned, the Intergrade version arrives about three months from now on June 10, but don't worry about having to fork out money for another copy of the game. Those who already own the game on PS4 will receive a free PS5 enhancement update for their FF7 Remake title, and the same goes for Yuffie's story episode - you'll be able to download it for free when Intergrade releases.

However, for those who haven't yet played the game, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will be available as a physical and digital version if you're getting the Standard Edition , and as a purely digital version if you're getting the Digital Deluxe Edition.

The latter features a digital mini soundtrack containing songs and other extras like character concept art, making it a good pick for those who are really invested in the series. Finally, for those who pre-order either version of Intergrade, you'll also be able to redeem the free Cacstar weapon for use in Yuffie's episode.
