What could be happier than to see your ex, whom you had a bad break-up with, fall from grace?

After news broke yesterday (Oct 23) that Chinese musician Wang Feng, 50, and actress Zhang Ziyi, 44, have divorced after eight years together, the former's ex-girlfriend, Chinese model Ge Huijie, expressed her opinions in a Douyin livestream last evening.

The 36-year-old, who has a daughter with Wang Feng in 2005, said: "Whatever happened to their relationship has no effect on me, but in a way, it did provide me with some relief."

Huijie added: "After all, there were no gaps in the continuity of his… I wasn't even done scolding him and he was already on his next. And after that, Ziyi jiejie (older sister) was there and left me flustered.

"Ziyi has finally opened her eyes. How good is that?"

She seemed to be referring to Wang Feng getting into relationships continuously.

Wang Feng was in three public relationships before marrying Ziyi in 2015.

His first wife was television presenter Qi Dan, whom he married in 2003 and divorced in 2004. That same year, Wang Feng went on to have a relationship with Huijie, who was 17 years old then, and the two have a daughter nicknamed Little Apple together. He reportedly only registered her birth when she was six years old and did a paternity test beforehand.

He married again for the second time in 2007 to Kang Zuoru and they have a daughter Jingyi together. They divorced in 2013 due to his cheating ways.

In her livestream, Huijie played Wowkie Zhang's Euphoric and despite saying earlier that she was not affected by the news, she was grinning from ear to ear.

When asked by netizens if she has any intentions of patching up with Wang Feng, Huijie said: "Why do you think I would reconcile with him? If I were to reconcile with him, I would be either cheap or a fool."

This is not the first time Huijie expressed her distaste for Wang Feng.

In a report by Hong Kong publication HK01 in May last year, Huijie said in a livestream then that although she had let go of the past, she will bear a grudge against him for life.

According to a report by Malaysian publication China Press in April this year, she said in a livestream that she used to accompany him to Macau while they were still in a relationship, and after every gambling session, he would look for a woman to spend time with.

She also said in a livestream on Oct 7 that she would "not let him off, even if he is in the coffin".

Despite that, Huijie shared in her livestream yesterday that her main concern now is Little Apple, who is 18 years old and under Wang Feng's care.

She said: "I think she would already have known about the matter earlier, but needs some time to process it. As a mother, I don't think it is necessary to contact her now. I would contact her perhaps after the matter has passed."

Huijie also thanked Wang Feng for taking care of the girl.

"I just treat him as the father of my child. I am thankful and grateful to him for letting me have her and for taking good care of her all this while," she added.
