The highly-anticipated Formula One season is here again and Singapore will treated to a whole slew of celebrity appearances this September.

ION Orchard is pulling out all the stops as the shopping mall will be hosting two star-studded events, including a special open-air concert featuring Hong Kong superstar G.E.M.

The pop sensation, whose real name is Gloria Tang, will be performing on Sept 14 at the mall's outdoor event space ION².

ION Orchard said in a media release on Monday (Sept 5) that "the concert promises to be a treat for the senses that will involve water, drums, spectacular lights, and cold pyrotechnics".

F1 fans can also catch two racing legends in person at the mall.

Daniel Ricciardo will be making an appearance in ION Orchard on Sept 14 as part of Swiss watch retailer TAG Heuer's Formula One themed event.

On the next day, Nico Rosberg - currently ranked second in the 2016 Formula 1 World Championship - will attend luxury watch brand IWC Schaffhausen's Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team garage showcase at ION Orchard's atrium on level one.

Rosberg will also take part in a Q&A session as well as a photo opportunity segment with the media and the public, followed by a private meet-and-greet for VIPs.
