No Appetite for Dysfunction? Expect Guns N' Roses gig credit refund options by Wednesday

Seventy-two hours from Sunday evening: That is how long e-payment solutions provider iGo has promised Guns N' Roses concert-goers who topped up credit to their RFID wristbands to reply them on their remaining balance and options.

The wristbands were worn by concert-goers for cash top-ups so actual money was not used for payments at the gig.

In an e-mail sent at about 6.30pm on Sunday, iGo said that it "supports customers and event organisers at activities across Singapore" and understands that there "were some logistical struggles" at the concert which packed in 50,000 people at the Changi Exhibition Centre.

The concert was organised by LAMC Productions and its Facebook page has been inundated with complaints from the public for the "nightmare" organisation. Complaints had ranged from neverending queues for food and drinks, toilets and merchandise sale. Members of the public also pointed out weak security checks, shuttle bus woes and traffic jams.

iGo asked concert-goers to give it 72 hours to tabulate the balances and reply them via e-mail on their "wallet balances and options."

It did not explicitly state what these options might be but added that it is waiving the admin fee for balance withdrawals.

iGo sent an e-mail to Guns N' Roses concert-goers on Sunday evening with this message.

The latest news comes on the back of a Facebook post by LAMC where it pledged to refund "unspent RFID credits" and said it was working out a refund process.

They say time is a healer, but two days after the show, concert-goers are still disgruntled and clearly have a poor appetite for dysfunction.

Concert-goer Claris Saito, 39, who received the e-mail from iGo told AsiaOne: "I'm hoping for a refund back into our credit cards and not into an e-wallet where I have to use it on the next LAMC gig."

"I'm not sure which other shops (or events) would accept this form of e-wallet either."
