If you've ever wondered what being confined within four walls for 14 days feels like, this Singaporean has given the low-down on her experience.

On the contrary, it's nowhere near as dreary as it sounds.

Having just returned to Singapore from where she was based in Berlin, Germany on Friday (March 27), Winifred Wong, 28, decided to document her experience on Instagram.

As of March 21, anyone entering Singapore is required to serve a 14-day stay-home notice (SHN), and from March 25, those returning from the UK and US are required to serve their notice in a dedicated hotel.

Having made a transition in Heathrow Airport, Wong, too, was required to serve her notice in a hotel. After receiving her SHN along with plenty of instruction sheets, she and several others were escorted towards their assigned hotel — Village Hotel Singapore.

She praised the measure's efficiency in her Instagram stories, explaining the moment they had disembarked from the plane, there were airport staff members with a list of their names on standby, ready to check their identity against their passports. Their suitcases had already been offloaded from the luggage belt and set aside for them too.

During her stay, Wong would not be allowed to step outside of her room.

Instead, food deliveries would be dropped off on a chair placed outside the rooms at a fixed timing every day, while fresh linen is delivered every three days, she explained.

"If we need any additional supplies (eg soap) we can just call recept (sic) to send those up," Wong shared with AsiaOne.

Wong has since posted multiple photos of the meals she's received, though she admitted: "Meals are ok so far but nothing compares to hawker food."

She also lamented about the lack of fresh air, as the windows in her room cannot be opened.

"But what can I say, it's a lovely place and the staff are super lovely and I get to enjoy guilt-free me time."

With 12 days more to go, she has found plenty of ways to entertain herself.
